Sertoma Heart of America Regional Convention Information

The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club will host the Heart of America Regional Convention at the Hilton-Waco.

Registration fee for the convention is $130 if postmarked by September 1st and $150 after that date. Registration forms are at the bottom of this page.

Hotel reservations at the Hilton-Waco must be made by September 18th to receive our convention rate of $140 per night (king bed) or $145 per night (two queen beds). Reference SERTOMA when registering to receive these rates.

The convention begins on Thursday, October 3rd at 11 am with a golf tournament at the beautiful Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. The registration form is at the bottom of this page. Deadline to sign up is September 15th.

Meetings and training sessions begin the morning of October 4th. We will have an awards luncheon, followed by an afternoon of meetings and training sessions before ending the evening with dinner and an exciting casino party!

We will have another round of meetings and training sessions Saturday morning and then a free afternoon to explore Waco.

Area attractions include The Magnolia Market at the Silos (as seen on the reality show "Fixer Upper"), the Dr Pepper Museum, the Texas Ranger Museum, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, the Mayborn Museum, the Waco Mammoth National Monument, Cameron Park Zoo, and many others. Most of these attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.

Our featured speaker at the Saturday evening banquet is Parnell McNamara. Sheriff McNamara was the inspiration for the 2016 movie "Hell or High Water," (4 Oscar nominations) which stars Jeff Bridges as Texas Ranger Marcus Hamilton. Sheriff McNamara worked with Bridges, helping him fine-tune his role as a Texas lawman.
